Over the course of the past 10 years the way people look to buy  property has changed.  There’s no denying it.  As our lives have become increasingly more digitalized , many more people than ever before both look to buy online.  Many serious buyers no longer spend the same hours searching through out of date of property supplements.  The power and the convenience of the Internet has changed all of that.

Ask yourself this?  How are you house hunting?  Do search in the comfort of own your home and browse through hundreds of properties on-line?  If this is you, you will by now realise that the Internet is both practical and convenient.  But do people actually buy a house online?  I believe the answer is still no.  You still need to physically see and feel a house.  You still need to know more about it.

As your chosen Estate agent we will discuss openly and demonstrate to you the three most important things you need to know about selling your home successfully Price, Presentation and Promotion.   You will see through both our experience and the market research we carry out before meeting you how we get to the marketing price of your home.   We will show you brochure examples that are designed to show your home in its best light and advise on how to prepare your home for the photographs being taken.   We will also discuss with you the promotion of your property and all of the places we advertise both on and off-line.  That’s right.  We still advertise off-line too.   And did you know online we advertise on all of the major sites.  We still use local press.  Think of those clients who may not be tech savvy.  We also heavily use social media.  It’s a massive growing medium especially with the younger generation of first time buyers.

So why choose us.  It’s really quite simple.  Being local means we know the local area.  We know the streets,  we know the schools,  we know whats important.  We have local & national registered buyers.  We have a mailing list of over 400 active buyers.  We are proactive with our approach. We are recognising that our industry is changing and we are changing with it,  without forgetting our clients needs.

  2. Great post Michelle. Some very valid points, and I agree that experienced estate agents with a high street presence can complement their marketing and digital online presence with social media. Buyers and tenants want to browse property when it’s convenient for them, and the agents that are promoting their online marketing via social media are clearly giving their clients/vendors more exposure and are more likely to achieve a sale quicker and potentially at a better price as a result.
